(b) During Christmas, Jesse and his family got each other each a present. In my family, we celebrate our Chinese New Year by exchanging oranges and ang pows. They also did not have their reunion dinner like what our family and relatives did during the new year. Since they are a Christian family, they do not gamble during the Christmas season like what I did with my cousins. Jesse's family could not afford Christmas decorations, but my kin adorned our homes with extravagant ornamentals with lots of Chinese new year banners.
