b) In the novel, jess and his family celebrate Christmas by exchanging and unwrapping presents, singing carols and meeting with friends. For my family, we celebrate Christmas by playing games, chatting with others; watch Christmas programmes and eating snacks brought by others. We are not as enthusiastic about the celebration as jess and the other characters in the novel are. For my family, we celebrate Christmas for a different reason from jess; we treat Christmas as an occasion to catch up with our friends and family.
