b) Every Christmas season, my family and I would always have either a Christmas turkey, ham or log cake as the centrepiece of our Christmas dinner. Jesse and his family celebrate Christmas by giving presents to other family members, regardless of their fanancial problems as they are Christian and believe that they should have the spirit of giving at Christmas. His family also sings carols, but in Singapore, this practice is usually only held by organizations or by volunteers who are very optimistic and wish for the world to have a wonderful Christmas.
In Singapore, usually only Christian families celebrate Easter, which is always a Sunday(thus Easter Sunday). Christians find this day significant as it is the day Jesus Christ was revived and brought back to life in three days. Like Christians, Jesse and his family attend the church service, along with Leslie. In some countries, like America, people associate Easter with the Easter Bunny. They claim it brings chocolate eggs and scatters them around, leaving children to find them and enjoy.
